Pictures for my mom, On the Occasion of the 59th Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy (Guerilla Performance)
After reading Seven days in the art world by Sarah Thornton I had dreamed about attending the opening week of the Venice Biennale. I had no means of securing an invitation son on a whim I decided to email the President’s office of the Biennale. I wanted to see how much clout SAIC had, so I told them that I was a cultural ambassador representing the MFA program. Of course, I got rejected but in defiance I decided to go either way.

Hock E Aye Vi Edgar Heap of Birds came to visit us at UNT. I followed him around everywhere & soaked up as much knowledge as I could. He encouraged me to keep on going and said that your goal should always be to make art first. If you are an artist it means you have something to say and maybe then you will be asked to teach. I guess I have something to say.
